The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performed the Autumnal Brahms program at Riverside Recital Hall on October 16, 2014. Clarinetist David Shifrin conducted a master class for University of Iowa chamber music students the following morning. Here are comments from both events:

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center was one of the best events we have been to in the last few years. We purchased special seat cushions for events at Riverside Recital Hall which made everything more enjoyable. Do have them come back.

Fabulous!!!! And clearly the whole large and enthusiastic audience agreed with this assessment!
Chamber music played by top performers has been an all too rare treat on the Hancher schedule in recent years. Please do bring more.

I wanted to thank Hancher for providing the tremendous opportunity of a master class with David Shifrin this morning. As one would expect, Mr. Shifrin was the consummate teacher, artist and mentor and the students clearly were so thrilled to have the chance to interact with him. His musical and technical insights were outstanding and his kind and generous manner put the students at such ease and enabled all the performers to rise to the next level.
There is nothing like having the opportunity to not only hear great musicians in a concert but also to work with these amazing artists in such a personal way. Thank you for offering us this opportunity and please also give our many thanks to Mr. Shifrin.

I am so happy that my students were able to play for Mr. Shifrin... Thank you to Hancher for providing this fantastic opportunity! I have always greatly appreciated all of Hancher's efforts over all these years, in the outreach of sharing their artists with my studio!
