Susan and I thought it was a great show. Please invite Danú again when the new Hancher is open.

My parents and I loved this performance – nice balance of types of songs; ie, soft/slow and wild! We’ll watch for them to perform at the new Hancher!

Oh my goodness, what a stunning performance! The vocals and instrumental skills were phenomenal! Loved the intimate setting, the group was so personable- nice that they shared a bit of their heritage and their county origin. Have had my Pandora station set to Danú all day!

They sure had the beat.

Lovely carols, Irish music, humor, poems, dancing, stories and a bit of history by excellent artists, this is a perfect performance!

It was an excellent concert. I have followed Danú for over 10 years. It is an absolute privilege to have a group of this quality in our area. Please get them back. Sound quality at the Englert theater has gone down in the last few years I think. That would be my only complaint.

Very good show. They deserve to come back.

Daryl and I both loved the concert last night. It was just the right kind of music for this time of the (busy) year.

•
Irish and wonderful! I would go to see and hear them anytime. The music is sometimes soulful and often lively. A genuine pleasure.

Spirited, musical and very Irish. We'd be delighted to see and hear them again.

Danú are great entertainers as well as fine musicians. It was a truly enjoyable evening.

What a perfect Hancher Christmas show for this year! The band is spirited as expected. They are talented as expected. But very importantly, the band members talk easily with the audience and have great senses of humor. It is like being invited into Danú’s living room or to the corner pub for a good time with old friends from Ireland! Thanks for bringing Danú to Iowa City!

They were wonderful. My husband was so energized he couldn't sleep last night! I had never heard of the group before the posting for Hancher. I was so glad I purchased tickets. The group is a bright spot to add to the holidays.

It was our first time to see Danú. We loved the performance! They had everything you could want: they are gifted musicians with so much energy it was contagious, they were funny and seemed totally at ease, and I liked how they paced their songs and stories. It flowed effortlessly with the right amount of time spent on each portion of the program. And although I am not Irish, I loved listening to their different accents as they spoke of the different regions of Ireland. It was the next best thing to being there!

The group was so talented and transported my husband and I to Ireland for the evening! The venue was delightful and cozy. We can't wait until Danú returns! Merry Christmas!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Danú performance last night. They are excellent musicians and it is a delight to see them in person. I hope that Hancher will continue to invite them back to Iowa City.

Fantastic! Really engaged audience, more like a party than performance.

I bought tickets for Danú for myself, my mom, and my 11 year old daughter, who Irish Dances.
It was a fantastic show! The music and singing were fabulous, the stories, the poem and little anecdotes about the performers' memories in Ireland were wonderful. I hope it comes back next year! We will go!
The parking is terrible, I have to say. I have to drop off my elderly mother and then park and then go and get the car and come back for her and there is really no good place to pull up and do either one.
Thank you for providing the wonderful show! Love the Irish stuff! We also attended An Irish Christmas last month. It was so awesome that my daughter was able to see an Irish Dancing Show at a local venue. Thank you! Or, as the Irish say, Go raibh maith agat!

I don't think people realize just how good Danú are? They are a fantastic band in all their iterations. I wish Eamon's brother Tom would come back as I like the double flute but that is a small issue. If you want to blow the doors off the place have Eamon bring his wife Julie Fowlis. She is absolutely amazing Scott's gaelic singer and performs with Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh frequently. Great show! Those that missed it you have no idea how much fun Danú live is.

This group is just outstanding! I’ve seen them several times over the years and they just keep getting better and better! Thank you for bringing them to us! Keep up the good work!

We had a very nice time with an enthusiastic crowd. The evening had a “home town” festive feeling. Danú shone especially on the fast jigs and polkas. A stand out performance by the drummer will be the moment I will remember. The Englert is an Iowa City jewel.

We loved everything about the concert! They are not only talented artists, they really know how to connect with the crowd.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Danú concert on Dec. 10 at the Englert Theatre. We are big fans of the traditional Irish/Celtic music which Danú performed beautifully. They are very talented musicians, some of whom play several instruments. During the program most of the musicians had the opportunity to highlight their playing. Their Irish stories and asides added to the program. The attendance was excellent - almost or maybe a sell-out crowd. The audience was very enthusiastic and on many occasions enjoyed clapping to the music. We hope Danú will be invited back when Hancher is reopened.

I was reminded that I need to dance more and "whoop" when the spirit moves me. I loved it.
