I would like to thank you for bringing this wonderful group to Iowa. I purchased tickets as a Christmas gift for my Dad not really knowing what I was signing up for. I was expecting my Dad to really enjoy it, but didn't think I would really. I was pleasantly surprised at the beginning and left the evening completely awestruck. The abilities of all the musicians was amazing. I would recommend Interpreti Veneziani to anyone, young or old. WOW!

Thank you, Hancher, for a superb evening of music. What extraordinary artists! and the setting at St. Mary's was perfect; I loved the fact that you could hear the rich warm tones of all 9 instruments. Being new to town, I must say that this set the bar very high for live performing arts. You won me over as a new devoted fan. How fortunate to have this resource right here in Iowa City! BRAVO!!

Thank you Chuck, Volunteers and Staff. I'm delighted to share my thoughts. It was a very special evening. The musicians were everything you could hope for and the beautiful Church setting complimented their program so much that I felt I was in Europe! The music and the venue were a perfect package! I hope they will be able to return someday. I'm sure they would want to as I felt they were most appreciative of the heartwarming response. Many thanks to everyone who had a role in making it a very special evening.

I greatly enjoyed the flawless performance of the Interpreti Veneziani and am very glad I took the evening off to attend. I love hearing Baroque music on instruments of the period. The concert was a real gem, capping off a busy, but lovely day.

Superlatives are inadequate to describe the concert. One of the highlights of Hancher concerts.

The venue was perfect! The sound in St Marys carried nicely, with just the right amount of reverberation. They were a quality act.

What a wonderful concert! We weren't thrilled when we heard it would be held at St. Mary's (parking issues, no reserved seats, etc.), but it was the perfect venue for such a group! Please bring them back to Iowa City again!

The concert was great! Very talented musicians. Thank you for inviting them to Iowa City.
Too bad U of IA students were not seen in the audience despite heavy discounts offered to them. We should keep working on finding more effective ways that would help to attract students and introduce them to the wonderful cultural events that take place in Iowa City.

I attended Interpreti Veneziani last Saturday, April 10, at St. Mary's Church. I anticipated a pleasant evening with some well-played Baroque music. What I did not anticipate was that I would be transfixed by the energy and brilliance of the playing, and that sitting in the front pew at a Catholic church for such an event would intensify the experience so much. Even though the hour and half I spent on a hard wooden seat was a little uncomfortable, the entire concert was a feast for the eye and ear, and the visible and audible connections of the players with each other and the audience propelled the music straight from the ear to the heart.
The only disappointment I had was that I had left my wallet at my sister-in-law's house, and so I was unable to purchase any of the CDs that were available after the performance. I found almost none of their work available from Amazon, difficult to find even from European resources — and I've never purchased anything online in euros.
Is there any way to get any of their CDs? Please consider booking this group for another visit, soon, if possible.

St. Mary's church provides a beautiful and intimate setting for Baroque Music--I also liked the contrasting Romantic pieces that Interpreti Veneziani played. The solos showed the excellence of all the players and we sat near enough to see that they really appreciated each other--no wonder that you could hear the team work in the music.
Arthur Kantor deserves credit for his excellent concert notes (which I have to come to depend upon at many Hancher events).
